Investment Philosophy:

 

Most investors who use active trading end up underperforming the indexes.   I’m happy to help you get off the rollercoaster where your advisor makes more off your assets than you do.  If you can be happy with performing as well as a combination of major indexes, then give me a call and I’ll help you get set up.

Services:

If you want help consolidating assets, designing a portfolio, and some monitoring services so that we rebalance the portfolio at appropriate intervals, we can work out a fee for me to do the work and manage the assets at the level of attention you desire.

 

 

· Portfolio Analysis

             I have access to excellent portfolio analysis software.  I can evaluate your current portfolio’s performance, including your retirement plan’s performance.  

Most investors don’t know how much the “management costs” and other “miscellaneous costs” are draining their 401(k).  The market recovered in 2009 many 401(k) balances didn’t.  Why not?  Often I can uncover hidden costs and help decide what to invest in and where to invest in those plans.

 

· Investment Monitoring

             I can monitor your monthly statements.  If you move your funds to a ScotTrade account and give me ScotTrade Advisor Services access, I can set software to alert us if conditions require our attention.

 

· Develop an Investment Plan and an Investment Policy Statement

             You need a solid roadmap that focuses on your goals and your risk profile.  This pair of documents will bring discipline to your investments and remove costly emotional decisions from your investments.

 

· Incorporate other fund managers:
Involve other fund managers if you have a more aggressive investment approach or need a bond portfolio developed and executed.  My role in these activities would be to monitor, and therefore I don’t charge much at all for these type services.

 

 

All my work is tax-aware.  I use tax software to calculate pro-forma tax returns for all the scenarios I evaluate.

 

No surprise fees.  All fees are specified in advance, as part of our client service agreement.
